Where are you from? is an intense, exorcising performance in which Roxane Mbanga performs in front of a mixed audience, from the living room of NOIRES. The curtains of braided hair become a symbolic cage, isolating the audience from the artist. Roxane Mbanga breaks through the white gaze to regain power over her own narrative and plural identity.
