Traverser la Tempête is Roxane's first short film. The rhythm of the piece is set by fragments of Dakar and the timeless journey of a woman walking through the streets of Marcory, in Abidjan. We hear the intimate testimonies of Senegalese and Sénégauloise women. Their voices are interwoven with Roxane's narration, tracing the story of her family: a narrative shaped by migration, colonial legacies, and movement across three continents.
Shot on black-and-white Super 8 and color camcorder, Traverser la Tempête explores the connection between intimate and collective memory, where movement becomes an act of resistance, inheritance, and transmission.
